Located just five miles south of the Canadian Port of Entry at Roosville in the heart of the Tobacco Valley, Eureka is in a wide, grassy plain nestled between two mountain ranges. This spectacular corner of Northwest Montana also boasts the state’s mildest climate. Not to mention some of the most diverse scenery, from shortgrass plains to high country virgin old-growth conifer forests. Raw beauty is the order of the day. There’s no shortage of native wildlife. Moose, elk, deer, bears, wolves, and coyotes abound.  Wild turkeys and bald eagles are even spotted with regularity.

Eureka is situated 50 miles from both Whitefish Mountain Ski Resort in Whitefish, Montana and Fernie Ski Resort in British Columbia, Canada. The economy is supported by the timber industry, ranching, and tourism. Only 11% of Lincoln County is privately owned, the rest is public lands available for fishing, hunting and hiking.
